I have extended the umbrella competition to the 27th of July as the rain continues to fall here in the UK. But, don't forget it is open to anyone to send in their picture of their Ella Doran umbrella. Here are a few pictures;

Celebrate the Routemaster centenary with my Routemaster collection

The wonderful 38 bus route celebrated 100 years yesterday and a fleet of special original buses were running the route from Hackney to Victoria for all to enjoy. 

I was not in town so I was not able to capture any pics myself, but Arriva London have linked up with Maggie’s, cancer charity, and are running a campaign called ‘Walk the 38’.More events are planned so keep up to date with their website

Ella Doran & Kew Royal Botanical Gardens

I am very happy to announce a brand new collection that I have designed for the fantastic Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. The full range of products are now available in their beautiful shop and online. Ella Doran Umbrella's Around the World Competition

I have received a lot of lovely photos of my umbrellas lately which I really like and want to share with you, here are a couple of examples;

New York, New York

I had very little time this trip in between the show and private views to capture any of New York in the sunshine, my final day was raining so my camera stayed at home, but here are a few reminders of the beautiful city - I loved this Geo artwork on the wall as I was walking east down Great Jones Street. 

 

For the first time I stayed up town in the Columbia district, which introduced me to the 1 train and the hudson river along Riverside Drive.

   

 

The NewMuseum on 235 Bowery is well worth a visit

ICFF 2012

Finally I have some time to post a few pictures from New York and my stand at the ICFF. We have already returned to lots of press coverage and blog posts - we had so much interest in our roller and roman blinds, and my best sellers in the cushions were Isabel Garden and PorTables 45x45cm

I managed to put my stand together with the help of some friends - and borrowed some fantastic trestle legs and chairs that beautifully fitted the stand and style. It was so lovely to see old faces again as I have not exhibited at the show since the birth of my second son Sam..... over 10 years ago. Stay in touch and we'll see you again next year.
